Data, methods & citation
Built and maintained by Chang Xu using original CDC reporting records. This independent explorer covers all 511 units in the 2022 inventory and processes every report year from 2013 through 2022. CDC is the original data publisher; Chang Xu created the identity ledger, reproducible projection, comparisons and website.
Coverage
There are 5,110 explicit target clinic-year decisions. Older records are joined only with identity evidence. Ambiguous matches remain unresolved. The full native directories below retain units that cannot safely be joined. Missing, protected, no-cycle, bounded and fraction states remain distinct.

How outcomes are calculated
Own-egg cumulative results use retrievals started in the prior calendar year and linked transfers within 12 months. Donor results use the report-year transfer population. Older fresh-cycle and frozen-transfer results keep their native units, age bands and definitions. We never extend a cumulative trend using a fresh-cycle measure.
Clinic percentages are not risk-adjusted quality rankings or individual predictions. National comparisons use CDC’s pooled national record, never an average of clinic rates. Combined donor-egg results weight matching transfer pathways by their matching transfer counts, exclude donated embryos and remain unavailable when active inputs are protected or missing. Rounded published inputs produce an approximation marker.
Identity and source lineage
Modern histories retain native annual CDC IDs and metadata. Older joins require unique corroborated name/location/contact evidence or a preserved reviewed decision. Synthetic extraction keys never define clinic URLs or establish continuity. Original workbooks, PDF pages, native field definitions, footnotes and worksheet locators remain linked in clinic source views and exports.
Known native discrepancy: clinic 490, 2019, own eggs, all diagnoses, over 40 has 12.5% in Success Rates and 12.4% in Summary. Both original worksheet cells are retained and disclosed; the Success Rates series is used for outcome history.
