About & data
Find a clinic, then start a conversation
Search a location, save clinics and compare. Age and treatment details are optional. Contact clinics directly to confirm current care, costs and availability.
Required services select clinics. Outcome details select a reported patient group. A reported service does not make the displayed rate specific to that service or to gestational carriers.
About the data
This site brings together CDC clinic reports from 2013–2022. Available years and measures vary by clinic, and each figure identifies its source year. Services and addresses reflect their report year, so confirm current details with the clinic.
Search covers 511 national reporting records from 2022. Detailed diagnosis-specific observations and reviewed reporting history cover 52 Los Angeles and Orange County records. Other national records include a limited all-diagnosis projection. Missing detail in this explorer does not mean a clinic did not report to the CDC.
Clinics submit treatment and diagnosis records; CDC checks the data and calculates success rates. Compare results for the same age, egg source and outcome measure. Cycle counts are treatment attempts, not individual patients. Patient mix and treatment methods can differ, so clinic rates do not predict your personal outcome or measure an individual doctor’s quality.
Select an underlined figure to see what it means, the original CDC notes and a public source download. Calculations and descriptions created for this site are explained separately, so you can check how they relate to the reported data.
Why I built this
In 2021, during my own IVF journey, I found the data fertility clinics reported to the CDC incredibly helpful. But comparing clinics was much harder than it needed to be because the data was scattered across spreadsheets and annual reports.
Choosing a clinic and the reproductive endocrinologist you work with can influence your treatment’s success, how much you spend, and your happiness along the way. I want to make this data easier to access and interpret, so you can find a clinic that’s well suited to you and make an informed decision on your journey toward welcoming your baby into the world.
